Saint GOBAN GOBHNENA, abbé en Irlande (VIème ou VIIème siècle)
6th or 7th century. This saint is the Goban mentioned in the life of Saint Laserian as governing the monastery of Old-Leighlin. He migrated from there to Tascaffin, County Limerick
Troparion of St Goban Gobhna tone 7
As once thou didst labour in thy monastery at Tascaffin/ and dost now rejoice in heavenly glory:/ we beseech thee to entreat Christ our God/ for the people of Ireland/ and that He may have mercy on us all.
St. Strofan or Straffan, of Cluan-Mor, probably Clonmore, County of Carlow.
Saint Comman, May 23
At May 23 we can add another name to the long list of obscure Irish saints, whose only memorial is their entry in the Irish calendars. A Saint Comman appears in the earliest of these, the Martyrology of Tallaght, and Canon O'Hanlon directs us to a County Wicklow location called Kilcommon, before conceding that it may not be connected to this saint or indeed to any of the other eleven saints Comman commemorated in the Irish calendars
Saint Nechtlic the Bishop, May 23
