Saint Walstan of Bawburgh (died 30th May A. D. 1016), patron of British food and farming, farmers, husbandrymen/women, farmworkers and the protector of farms and livestock.
"Saint Walstan was born in A. D. 970 and spent his life giving to the poor between Bawburgh and Taverham, but more miraculously he had visions. Between Bawburgh and Taverham there are three springs attributed to swelling up from the ground in his presence, the final being the one in Bawburgh where his final resting place is. The waters are said to have miracle healing powers."
